I believe your presence is important to your dog’s success just as much as hiring a great dog trainer. Which is why I prefer to come to you and work with your dog’s issues where most of it happens: in your home and neighbourhood.

Ok but why the EFF are you so pricey?

Hey man, I get it. I also almost choke every time I pay the optometrist or when I “do the math” on what a chiropractor can bill out in an hour…but then I remind myself I’m not paying just for that appointment. I’m paying for them to sift through all their knowledge and to find the best solution for what I present to them.

When you hire The Dog Intuitive, you’re accessing years of knowledge and current learnings. Rather than “$50 just to get my dog to stop pulling on the leash?” think of it as “$50 to learn my dog’s value system, see where my dog is being disrespectful, understand where I am in my dog’s POV, know how to support my dog the way they need, AND get my dog to stop pulling on the leash.”

That, my friend, is why my methods are needed.

seasonal group training

Starting Spring 2025 you’ll have the opportunity to work with Amanda in a group setting learning on skill at a time like teaching your dog recall, place, loose leash walking, and more! Follow along on social media or sign up to the newsletter to stay up to date on these offers!

GROUP AGILITY TRAINING

Here you’ll learn the basics of dog agility on a full size agility course. In our one day clinic, your dog will have an understanding of the full course! Once your dog has learned all of the equipment and you’re feeling confident, you can then move into our Agility Alumni group. (see below for more information)

*please note this clinic is only ran one or two times a year based off of interest*

SOCIALIZATION GROUP

Once a week, our current clients have the opportunity to bring their dog to The Dog Intuitive’s outdoor facility to be around other people with the same goal in mind: getting your dogs socialized.

It’s a safe, structured space for dogs of all temperaments to get accustomed to being around other dogs.

*please note socialization group is open to current clients only from June through august

AGILITY ALUMNI

Completed an agility class in the past? Taken private lessons and your dog knows the course? If so - this group is for you!

Running June, July, and August, your dog can take turns running the course one evening a week!

Your spot must be booked in advance,
no drop ins are welcome. Please contact Amanda to book your spot!

  • Yes! Dogs are adaptable and your dog is a great example of one size doesn’t fit all. Just because one method didn’t work, doesn’t mean another won’t. I would love to help.

  • Great question! Many trainers roll into a session with a plan, tools, and one method. The Dog Intuitive hears what your needs are, gets a feel for your dog (and its learning style) by observing and working with them in your home. We don't whisper, we listen.

  • It's super important our clients know we don't subscribe to any camp. I meet dogs where they're at and figure out ways to teach the humans how to achieve their goals. We reward behaviours we like, and interrupt behaviours we don't, but always acknowledge your dog's point of view.

  • Your dog is an individual so you train until. But if you're finding one technique isn't getting the results you desire, then it may be time to pivot.

  • You need to be motivated to work on you and your dog's relationship - and that may mean changing some household habits. As for your dog? They're fine!

  • Reach out anyways and let's make a plan for you to visit us!

  • Remember that your dog is not born knowing your expectations - so be patient and kind while teaching them.
